What we collect

When you submit an enquiry we collect the name, email address and any optional details you provide (company, phone number, product of interest and the content of your message). We also record the IP address the message was sent from, solely to detect and block abusive submissions.

Our server logs standard technical information — IP address, browser type, requested URL and timestamp — for security and troubleshooting. We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics that profile you across sites.

Why we collect it

To reply to your enquiry, to prepare quotations and fulfil orders, to keep records required for compliance and accounting, and to protect the site against spam and abuse.

Cookies

We use a single session cookie on the administrative side of the site to keep an authenticated operator signed in. The public catalogue does not require cookies and sets none for tracking purposes. You can block cookies in your browser; the catalogue will continue to work.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who need it to operate: our hosting provider, our email provider, and carriers where a delivery address is required. We may disclose information where required by law or to protect our legal rights.

Retention

Enquiries are retained for as long as needed to serve you and to meet record-keeping obligations, then deleted or anonymised. You may ask us to delete your enquiry data sooner, subject to legal retention requirements.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, email support@mapleptiva.com. We respond within 30 days.

Security

The site is served over TLS. Administrative access is password-protected and rate-limited. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information we hold.

Children

This site is intended for professional researchers and is not directed at anyone under 21. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance.
