Description

MOTS-c is a 16-amino-acid peptide encoded within the mitochondrial 12S rRNA. It is used as a reference compound in mitochondrial retrograde signalling, AMPK activation and exercise-metabolism studies.

Storage & handling

Store at −20 °C. Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water; keep at 2–8 °C.

Quality documentation

Each lot is released against a written specification. The certificate of analysis supplied with your order includes the HPLC chromatogram, calculated purity, mass-spectrometry result and the theoretical versus observed molecular weight.

  • Reverse-phase HPLC purity, reported to one decimal place.
  • ESI-MS identity confirmation against the theoretical mass.
  • Lot number printed on the vial, matching the certificate.
  • SDS and handling guidance available on request.
